VETERAN OWNED & OPERATED
We fulfill all your welders qualifications needs and we can qualify to ASME, API and AWS.
We provide tensile strength data or preform root bends, face bends, and side bend samples.
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), also known as Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), is done on ferrous materials that give you an instant reading of indications as the test is being performed. Magnetic particle inspection is great for large and irregular shape parts. With multiple types of magnetic particle inspection mediums to be used we can find the desired type and sensitivity you're looking for.
Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), also known as Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI), can be used on multiple types of surfaces. It is typically used on stainless and austenitic steels. Penetrant testing has a high range of uses, and it is easily done in the field. It can also be used on large and very small parts. With a high level of sensitivity it is ideal for finding small imperfections at the surface.
Ultrasonic thickness testing (UTT) has a wide range of uses. Some common uses are: Checking thickness of pipeline before welding a sleeve/stopple, mapping out thinning areas of a shell plate on a tank, or to check if thinning is occurred in a piping system. Data can be logged into the machine and given a print out or reading can be written directly onto the part.
Ultrasonic shearwave testing (UTS) is an alternative to Radiography in that it gives you and internal inspection of the piece and/or weld. The results are instant and unlike radiography where you need access to both sides of a part ultrasonic shear wave you may only need access to one side. Results are real time and can be recorded for future information or comparison.
Computed Radiography (CR) is a great way to do internal inspections on a part or weld. X-ray can be done on many different types of material. Computed radiography differs from film in the amount of radiation needed to create an image. The images are also able to be stored on a flash drive for easier storage and access to the image.
Positive Material Identification (PMI) is great for providing chemical composition of parts for verification that proper material was received. PMI is very portable and can be accomplished in a shop or field and have minimal disruption to work being near the piece being tested.
Hardness testing is a portable method where you test the metal surface with minor to no test marks on the surface. It provides accurate information whether a material has lost its hardness or ductility do to welding or heat treatment.
Ferrite testing is a cost effective and accurate way to measure delta ferrite content in austenitic and duplex stainless steels.
